Kansas Master Farm Family Award Nominations
Extension agents and county/district Extension boards: following up on an earlier article in the Tuesday Letter, I offer this friendly reminder that Friday, May 10th is the deadline for your nominations for the 2024 class of Kansas Master Farm Families. To remind, this is a standout recognition program for local farm and ranch families who have excelled in agriculture at the local, state and even national levels. Families are also recognized for their commitment to community service and rural citizenship. Nominations will be reviewed during the last three weeks of May, and the honorees will be identified in early June.
The nomination process and the on-line application can be found at https://tinyurl.com/Ksmff. The nomination, including photos, should be submitted completely on-line.
This program is an excellent way to showcase Extension locally, and to show appreciation to farm families who have served as long-standing Extension supporters at the local level, and perhaps beyond. I heartily encourage you to forward a farm family for consideration for this honor.
