ArcGIS Workshop Open to Extension Agents and Specialists

Submitted by Melissa Harvey

Extension agents and specialists are invited to attend a one-day workshop to learn more about using online mapping software for extension activities.

The workshop will take place on May 21, and will provide participants with an overview of the GIS resources at K-State. The day will feature both instructional presentations by KSRE extension specialists and hands-on learning opportunities. At the end of the training, participants will be able to use ArcGIS Pro software for their own needs, develop and print their mapping projects, and access and share ArcGIS Online cloud documents.

All training materials will include presentation slides, GIS files, publications, and other relevant materials.

Space is limited to 15 participants, and pre-registration is mandatory. Those interested can register online.

This workshop is organized as Professional Development Event by the Natural Resources PFT and the Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment (KCARE). Depending on the availability of funds, a one-night hotel stay can be partially reimbursed by the PFT.

Questions about this training opportunity can be sent to ashesh@ksu.edu. More details can be found on the KCARE website.
