Safely Remove Your Hardware:
When removing your flash/jump/thumb drive or any other external device from your USB/Fire wire ports…Always remember to Eject or Safely Remove your hardware before removing it from your machine. You will thank yourself later.

PC Users:
At the bottom of your computer screen, on the right hand side, there is a little expandable menu. Choose (a little green arrow with a rectangle under it). From here, you can choose the drive you wish to eject. After selecting it, you are done and may remove your hardware from the computer.

Note:
If you do not safely remove your hardware before physically taking it out of your computer, you have the probability of losing some or all material stored on that device and possibly damaging the device, keeping you from being able to use it in the future.
