Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Communities

EntreWorld
A host of resources related to entrepreneurship provided by the Kauffman Foundation.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation works with partners to encourage entrepreneurship across America and improve the education of children and youth. The Foundation focuses its operations and grantmaking on two areas: entrepreneurship and education.

The Center for Rural Entrepreneurship
The Center for Rural Entrepreneurship’s online reference library. Has sections on entrepreneurial development, rural economic development, and enterprise facilitation. Some articles are targeted more at academic research, but some may be useful to entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Championing the Entrepreneurial Spirit
The Edward Lowe Foundation’s purpose is, through direct involvement with entrepreneurs, to help them network with their peers, as well as to provide them with ways to gain perspectives and new ideas about their companies. This link goes to the publications page. Articles vary from a quiz to help test an idea for a new business to an article on building entrepreneurial communities.

National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship
In the summer of 2003, the Public Forum Institute began work under a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to develop a National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship to improve awareness of the value of entrepreneurship.

The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education
The Consortium is a US-based membership group that serves as advocates for entrepreneurship education for youth and adults. It's purpose is to provide information and resources “for teachers, instructors, program developers and others who help students of all ages find their own entrepreneurial opportunities.” In particular, check out the resources available for:
