Public Invited to K-State Research and Extension Food and Agriculture Biosecurity Session Oct. 20


MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State University will host Food and Agriculture Biosecurity presentations  Oct. 20 at the K-State Union’s Forum Hall. The session, which is open to the public, will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The presentations are part of the K-State Research and Extension Annual Conference.




Presentations and speakers for the Oct. 20 event will include:




·         Agricultural Biosecurity -- Dr. Jerry Jaax, Associate Vice President for Research Compliance




·         Plant Biosecurity: The Foundation for Public Health and Human Well-Being -- Dr. Jim Stack, Director of the Great Plains Diagnostic Network




·         Food Safety Biosecurity - Vunerability and Interventions -- Shaun Kennedy, Director of the National Center for Food Production and Defense
