Agriculture Today Radio Program Monday, August 27


K-State livestock economist Glynn Tonsor offers this week's analysis
of the cattle markets: he talks about the expected improvement in
cattle feeding breakevens over the next few months, and discusses the
USDA's new proposal for certifying beef tenderness in the marketplace

K-State agricultural economist Bryan Schurle looks at farm and ranch
land value trends, comparing and contrasting two sets of value data
which may give a clue as to whether a land price "bubble" is
forming...he addressed this in his K-State Risk and Profit Conference
presentation

And for this week's Kansas 4-H segment, K-State 4-H specialist
Rod Buchele puts out one last call for participants in the North
Central Regional 4-H Volunteer Forum coming up in October in
Wichita...he also talks about the photography exhibits at the 2012
Kansas State Fair

Agriculture Today is broadcast each weekday morning at 10:00 on KFRM
Radio, Clay Center (550 AM) and KLOE Radio, Goodland (730 AM), which
collectively reach 75 counties in Kansas, parts of southern Nebraska,
eastern Colorado and northern Oklahoma...the broadcast can also be
