Agriculture Today Radio Program Monday, August 20
Agricultural economist Erica Rosa-Sanko of the Livestock Marketing Information Center is featured in this week's cattle market segment: she comments on the USDA's cattle-on-feed report released Friday afternoon, and looks at new K-State figures on cattle feeding returns
Two features from the 2012 Risk and Profit Conference at K-State last week:
East-central Kansas cattle producer Rich Porter talks about his approach to long-term success in his operation, as he addressed the conference during the "Conversation with a Kansas Agricultural Producer" session
K-State livestock economist Glynn Tonsor tells of his current project, supported by a USDA grant, which is documenting cattle producer perspectives on animal welfare issues
And for this week's Kansas 4-H segment, K-State 4-H specialist Diane Mack talks about how families can learn more about joining 4-H, and how current 4-H members and families can help recruit new members as the new 4-H year begins soon
