Agriculture Today Radio Program Monday, August 6


Agricultural economist Erica Rosa-Sanko of the Livestock Marketing
Information Center provides this week's cattle market analysis:
she comments on last week's unexpected rise in fed cattle prices, and
shares the LMIC's latest projections on calf prices and the returns
to cow-calf production

K-State cow-calf specialist Bob Weaber looks at making adjustments in
replacement heifer selection because of the drought...a topic he'll
address at the two Building Better Heifers Field Days to be hosted by
K-State later this month in southeast and northwest Kansas

And for this week's Kansas 4-H segment, K-State 4-H specialist Jim
Adams reports on the state 4-H dairy events coming up soon in
Salina...plus this week's county fair calendar

Agriculture Today is broadcast each weekday morning at 10:00 on KFRM
Radio, Clay Center (550 AM) and KLOE Radio, Goodland (730 AM), which
collectively reach 75 counties in Kansas, parts of southern Nebraska,
eastern Colorado and northern Oklahoma...the broadcast can also be
