Agriculture Today Radio Program Monday, July 23



The director of the Livestock Marketing Information Center, Jim Robb,
offers this week's cattle market commentary: he analyzes the numbers
from the USDA's cattle-on-feed and cattle inventory reports released
on Friday, and talks about the LMIC's corn crop projection, and the
subesquent impact on the cattle markets


The state rangeland management specialist with the NRCS, David Kraft,
talks about managing pasture grass in the midst of this extreme
drought: he urges producers to have a plan for long-range
preservation of grass productivity, and discusses the nutritive value
of CRP grass for grazing, as has now been approved for virtually all
of Kansas


And for this week's Kansas 4-H segment, state 4-H events coordinator
Sara Laib looks ahead to some of the 4-H activities at the Kansas
State Fair....plus this week's Kansas county fair lineup


Agriculture Today is broadcast each weekday morning at 10:00 on KFRM
Radio, Clay Center (550 AM) and KLOE Radio, Goodland (730 AM), which
collectively reach 75 counties in Kansas, parts of southern Nebraska,
eastern Colorado and northern Oklahoma...the broadcast can also be
