K-State agricultural economist Dan O'Brien looks at this week's
drought-driven surge in the grain markets, and discusses what's
happening with local grain price basis levels in the wake of the
record-setting market rally
K-State agronomist Jane Lingenfelser draws more information from the
2012 Wheat Variety Performance Report just released by the
university, this time focusing on the overall performance of the five
most widely-planted varieties this past year...she also looks at
yield numbers for varieties from breeding programs in surrounding
states
And state climatologist Mary Knapp of K-State comments on the new
long-range drought forecast, as part of her weekly look at Kansas
agricultural weather

collectively reach 75 counties in Kansas, parts of southern Nebraska,
