Agriculture Today Radio Program Friday, June 22



K-State agricultural economist Dan O'Brien recaps a roller-coaster
week for the grain markets, saying that genuine weather concerns for
the row crops continue to keep a solid floor under prices


K-State agricultural economist Troy Dumler comments on the 2012 Farm
Bill package passed yesterday by the Senate: how the crop insurance
program and commodity price supports fared, and those parts of the
bill that are likely to spark rigorous debate when the House and
Senate eventually work on the final version in conference committee


Farm program specialist Scott Wilbrandt of the Farm Service Agency
tells of important changes in crop acreage reporting deadlines for
producers participating in the USDA commodity programs


And state climatologist Mary Knapp of K-State reports on Kansas
agricultural weather


Agriculture Today is broadcast each weekday morning at 10:00 on KFRM
Radio, Clay Center (550 AM) and KLOE Radio, Goodland (730 AM), which
collectively reach 75 counties in Kansas, parts of southern Nebraska,
eastern Colorado and northern Oklahoma...the broadcast can also be
