Introduction

The MIL Tool Kit and Resources CD is a collection of software and publications that agricultural producers can utilize in their farming operations. This version of the MIL Tool Kit and Resources CD has many new features not found in the previous version, 1.1.

Please read the following information before using the MIL Tool Kit and Resources CD. It contains details on new features, enhancements, and other changes to the product. We hope you enjoy the many improvements we've made to the MIL Tool Kit and Resources CD!

What's new in Version 2.0?  TOP OF PAGE

If you are familiar with version 1.1 of the MIL Tool Kit and Resources CD, you'll recognize that version 2.0 has many additional features! The following is an itemized list of improvements you'll see in version 2.0:

• Easy to navigate CD menu
  • Menu.htm provides a simple menu system for users to quickly find the resource or software that they want to use. To view it, simply open the file Menu.htm from the root of the CD.
  
  
• Software Improvements
  • KanSched upgraded to version 1.2! New features include:
    • Demo field option available to become aquainted with the software
    • Easier interface to delete fields
    • Maximum season length extended to 300 days from 150
    • Enhanced graphical user interface
    • Existing fields made with previous versions of KanSched are fully functional with version 1.2
  
  
  • Irrigation Fuel Cost Evaluator renamed to FuelCost


• New Resources Added
  • Software User Guides, including RealPlayer audio for additional information
    • KanSched User Guide
    • FuelCost User Guide
  
  
  
  • An extensive amount of K-State Research & Extension publications added covering the topics: Irrigation Management, Irrigation Scheduling, Center Pivot, Pumping Plants, Subsurface Drip Irrigation, and Flood Irrigation.
