Description:
This opportunity will train teen and adult volunteers and staff in the developing and making of hands-on, experiential, dynamic, shorter length (3-5 minute) lower tech, mid-quality video clips that will meet 21st Century program and training needs of KSRE. Subject matter of the videos will be determined by participants and their program needs.  During the training participants will develop sample videos in a learn by doing environment.  Equipment (funded by a grant from the Kansas 4-H Foundation) will be provided for the training and available for use following the training.

Target Audience:
The target audience is Extension staff and adult and teen volunteers.

Description:
Design for Learning is a distance learning experience that will help you develop educational programs for your target audiences. North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas are cooperating to offer Design for Learning to extension professionals in the four states. The January 15 through March 12, 2010 class will be facilitated by Kansas.

The program will have five learning sessions conducted via conference call and Adobe Connect
The schedule is:
* January 22 - Understanding adult learners
* February 5  - Selecting appropriate teaching tools and creating an effective learning environment
* February 19 - Teaching for transfer
* March 5 - Examining and organizing content, including logic model
* March 19  - Assessing learning outcomes
* April 2 - Make up-date, if needed

Attendance in all five sessions is an expectation of each participant.

Description:
The Kansas 4-H Ambassador Training is held annually for county/district 4-H Ambassadors and Advisors.  The two-day training gives participants skills in marketing and promoting Kansas 4-H.  Participants learn through hands-on workshops and motivational speakers.
