Books with Omega-3 Recipes

Both marine (seafood) and terrestrial-based (flax) omega-3 rich foods are included in the recipes of two books about omega-3 fats. Check below for more information about the books and link to some of the recipes they include:

  • The Omega Diet by Artemis P. Simopoulos, MD and Jo Robinson
    The Omega Diet, released in 1999, devotes about one-half of the text to recipes, shopping and cooking to help omega-3 intakes increase. In addition to presenting calorie, protein, carbohydrate, sodium and fat level, omega-3 content is specified by alpha-linolenic, eicosapentaenoic, and docosahexaenoic levels and the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is computed.
  • The Omega-3 Connection by Andrew Stoll (search for Stoll)
    Chapter 15 is entitled Recipes: Good Health and Good Taste. Recipes are categorized as salads, entrees, desserts and snacks, breads and spreads, and breakfast ideas.
