The Department of Grain Science & Industry, which now includes the Food Science program invites applications for an extension and research tenure-track position in food processing and safety. The position is responsible for developing and leading outreach, applied research, and educational and training programs in the areas of food processing with an emphasis on food safety, regulations, and quality.

Consumer Food Safety Specialist position
K-State Research and Extension is seeking applications for an Extension Assistant/Associate Professor (Extension Consumer Safety Specialist). The position is a two-state (Kansas State University and the University of Missouri) joint appointment. Kansas State University and the University of Missouri are land grant universities with a three-part mission of education, research, and extension. The position will be based at Kansas State University-Olathe campus, a graduate campus focused on animal health and food safety and security in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
