To: Epsilon Sigma Phi Members
August 15 is a big date for Epsilon Sigma Phi members! That is the due date for both nominations for ESP recognition and applications for endowment grants.
As an ESP member you have several benefits. One of those is the opportunity to nominate your peers (or yourself) for a number of recognition categories. Who might you nominate? How about a colleague in your local unit, someone you have worked with on a project, or someone you mentored or who mentored you (either formally or informally). The Recognition Committee has prepared information to assist you
in the nomination process including the list of recognition categories, nomination form, previous recipients and list of those eligible (click on Recognition on the left of this screen).
Another benefit is the opportunity to apply for an Extension Endowment Fund Grant. Since 1992 $74,705 has been awarded to Alpha Rho Chapter members. Grant applications can be for professional development such as attendance at professional meetings or to help with graduate study or for program innovation. See the Endowment
link on the left of the screen for information on how to apply and previous grants funded.
Remember August 15 is an important date. But, don’t wait until August 15 as both recognition nominations and grant applications require the approval of the area director or department head.
I would be happy to help you with any questions you have regarding either of these benefits of your membership.
