Carpenter bees prefer old, soft, untreated, and unpainted wood. Carpenter bees are often confused with bumblebees. Structures infested with bees should have all entrance holes treated with insecticide. Treat individual holes and plug with caulking. Treating at night is most effective. 2 p.
