This research examines how people make everyday decisions. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
If you decide to participate in our study, simply enter your e-mail address and click Continue at the bottom of the page. This will take you to another web site where you will see the following:
1. Informed consent information, which describes the study.
2. An experimental task, in which you will make simulated choices related to products on your computer screen.
You will need high-speed internet because the experimental task contains images that will not load properly on slow connections.
It will take about 15 minutes of your time to complete the initial experiment. In about a month, we will send a follow-up e-mail with a link to a similar task that will take about 5 minutes to complete.
You are eligible to participate in the study if you meet ALL of the following requirements:
1. You are 18 years of age or older.
2. You currently live in the United States.
3. You have a high-speed internet connection
4. You are willing to spend 15 minutes to complete the initial web-based experimental task.
5. You are willing to spend 5 minutes in about a month to complete a follow-up web-based research task.
6. You provide us with an e-mail address where we can send you a link to the follow-up experiment. We will never provide your e-mail information to anyone else, and we will never attempt to determine your personal identity. We will use your e-mail information only for the following purposes:
a. To communicate with you about the study.
b. For quality control purposes to ensure the integrity of our data.
