Unwanted or unused pesticides should be disposed of properly. The correct way to do this is to triple rinse a bottle. Then follow these instructions: remove the lid, hold it under a faucet outside, fill the container about a quarter full, re-attach the lid, shake it, and then pour the contents into a bucket. Repeat this two more times.
The product inside the bucket should be applied just like the full strength chemical. Once the triple rinse is complete, the container is then safe to be disposed of in the trash.
If there is a product that you no longer need and you can’t get it used up, the proper thing to do is to take it to a local collection facility that handles proper disposal of pesticides. There are many located across the state of Kansas. Contact your local solid waste agency for more information.
