Installing a Livestock Waterer to Protect Water Quality
Fenced the pond and installed alternative water source for cattle; created a “how-to” CD on the installation and hosted a field day in Ellis County for producers.

 


Kansas Water in the Classroom
Lesson plans that meet state standards for grades 3-12 are focused on water protection in Kansas. Promoted to science teachers statewide.

 


“Drop in the Bucket”
Produced an educational video for statewide use by youth groups (FFA, 4-H, etc.) about the water cycle in Kansas, utilizing local sites, treatment plants, and “actors.”

 


Urban Stormwater Best Management Practices
Created an educational CD about reducing quantity and improving quality of storm runoff; to be used by cities statewide in their public education programs.

 


Kansas Water-related Acronyms and Terms
Collected, annotated, and organized water-related acronyms and terms used in Kansas; printed booklet and CD to be distributed statewide to citizens active in the water planning process, legislators, the press, and others.
